MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS
Kei’Anna Anderson
Kei’Anna Anderson is a textile/fiber artist who examines biological similarities between the plant and human species. Earning her BFA from Ball State University, with a concentration in Sculpture and minor in Art History, Kei’Anna found purpose as an art educator while working in Indianapolis inner city schools and now Anderson Preparatory Academy, where she teaches junior high and high school art. Kei’Anna spends part of her summers as a teaching artist for a non profit organization, Artmix, where she makes fiber art accessible to individuals with and without disabilities.
Stephen Edwards
Stephen Edwards is a lifelong native Hoosier and a master of the art of watercolors. He enjoys painting a variety of subjects that display the importance of value and color in creating mood and emotion. Though primarily self-taught, he has selectively studied under such notable regional artists as Floyd Hopper and Paul Sweany to nationally known ones such as Phil Austin, and Dong Kingman. Stephen is a member of several art organizations which include the American Watercolor Society and National Watercolor Society nationally. Regionally he is a signature member of the Indiana Hoosier Salon, Pennsylvania Watercolor Society,
Watercolor Society of Indiana (Founding Member), Illinois Watercolor Society, Philadelphia Watercolor Society, and the Bloomington Watercolor Society. Also, he is a member of the Indiana Artist Club, Brown County Artist Association, Indiana Heritage Arts, and the Art Association of Madison County. He was elected as member of the Mondial Art Academia of France where he was elected to the title of Knight Academician after receiving the Silver Medal of Honor for Aquamedia in the groups 2020 International Exhibit held in France.
Chicqiela Elbert-Velazco
Chicqiela Elbert-Velazco is a local artist and educator. She has been teaching art for over 30 years with the Anderson Community School Corporation. She received her BS and MS at Ball State University in art education. She studied printmaking with Tom Minkler while she pursued her art degree. Many of her prints have won awards and are in several private and gallery collections.
Samson Hunckler
Samson Hunckler is a high school art teacher at Pendleton Heights High School and has been for thirteen years and counting. He earned his Bachelors of Science in the Visual Arts (“my fancy way of saying ‘Art Education Degree’”), from Ball State “class of ‘04. Chirp! Chirp!” Samson teaches Photography, Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, and Design but specializes, and favors, in Drawing and Painting. “I really enjoy the experience of creating art, and the discoveries found within. I try to recreate that same experience for all of my students.”

Jewel Morgan
Jewel was born and raised in Anderson. She earned her BFA and MA degree in Art Education from Ball State University. She is a retired art teacher from the South Madison Community School Corp. She currently works as a Tour Director for Music Travel Consultants and is a Summer Art Camp teacher for AMOA. She has served on local boards in civil, HOA, historic home, church, school, and credit union capacities. Jewel enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time with family.
Kameron Robinson
Kameron Robinson is a local artist and director of East Side Arts, a ministry of East Side Church of God, and has been a resident of Anderson since 1997. He is a graduate of both Anderson University and Anderson University School of Theology with a B.A. in Fine Art with an emphasis in Glass Blowing and Sculpture and a Master of Arts in Intercultural Service. Kameron’s work combines the natural world with sculptures in glass and ceramics exploring the connection between organic systems and humanity. Kameron has been teaching at The Anderson Center for the Arts for three years and loves sharing his craft and passion with the people of Anderson.

Olivia Willard
As an eclectic artist of multiple mediums, I validate and facilitate a safe environment for my students. I’m a painter and art educator known for my vibrant murals and love for color. Deeply passionate about community and mental health education and support, I find inspiration in the vibrant tapestry of Anderson. Through my art and teaching, I strive to foster connections and empower individuals to express themselves authentically. Based in Anderson, I find joy in blending creativity and advocacy to enrich lives and spaces around me.
